    Burnout doesn't happen overnight. It builds gradually until suddenly you can't function.

    Setting Sustainable Boundaries

    Time boundaries

    End of workday exists. Pick a time, stick to it most days. Occasional exceptions are fine. Constant exceptions mean your schedule is broken.

    Weekend work should be exception, not rule. If you need weekends to keep up, your workload is unsustainable.

    Vacation means vacation. Actually disconnect. The company will survive. If it can't survive without you for a week, that's a company problem, not your problem.

    Energy boundaries

    Some tasks drain energy, some restore it. Balance matters.

    High-focus work (coding, debugging, design) requires mental energy. Limit to 4-6 hours per day maximum. More than that and you're just sitting at computer unproductively.

    It's a marathon

    You'll build for 30-40 years. Sprinting the whole time is impossible.

    Pace yourself. Intense periods are fine. Constant intensity destroys you.

    Failure is normal
